Jamel serves as the VP of Investor Relations and Strategic Partnerships at Optus Bank. With a background in healthcare, finance, and economic development, he has dedicated his career to fostering sustainable growth, cultivating meaningful relationships and creating opportunities within underserved communities.
Jamel’s passion for social responsibility and economic empowerment has led him to work with institutions that are committed to making a real difference, just like Optus Bank.
Optus Bank is a minority-owned financial institution with deep roots in South Carolina and the only one in the state. The Bank’s mission is to provide equitable access to financial services, focusing on supporting minority and low-income communities.
Optus believes that financial inclusion is not just a service but a catalyst for broader economic development and community well-being.
We seek to share how Optus Bank’s innovative approach to community banking and our unwavering commitment to social responsibility is second to none, and find organizations whose values and initiatives are in alignment.
We’re excited to explore how we can collaborate with others to drive meaningful change and sustainable growth.
