Hotel Information: The National Housing Center is located in downtown, Washington D.C., within walking distance of a variety of hotels offering rooms at a wide range of price points. We invite you to explore some of the options in our “Hotel Options List.” Please note that CDBA has not arranged a room block at any individual hotels for this event.

Krishna Patel is the Chief of the Economic Analysis Section in the FDIC’s Division of Insurance and Research. She directs reports and presentations about economic conditions and risks to the banking system, including the FDIC’s Risk Review and Banking Issues in Focus articles. During her time at the FDIC, Krishna also worked in the banking and regulatory policy, leading the team’s projects on deposit insurance policy. She was detailed to the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, where she worked on housing finance reform legislation, prepared materials for hearings on monetary policy, and evaluated and reported on economic trends and the impact of proposed banking policies. Krishna joined the FDIC in 2008 as a Financial Economist and has authored papers on various topics in economics and banking. Prior to joining the FDIC, Krishna worked at BNY Mellon. Krishna holds a Ph.D. in economics from Georgetown University, and a B.S. in economics finance from Bentley University.
