Hotel Information: The National Housing Center is located in downtown, Washington D.C., within walking distance of a variety of hotels offering rooms at a wide range of price points. We invite you to explore some of the options in our “Hotel Options List.” Please note that CDBA has not arranged a room block at any individual hotels for this event.

Kent Curtis is President and CEO of First Southwest Bank, a $550 million certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). He is also President of First Southwest Community Fund, a 501c3 loan fund, and he is Co-founder of HelloBello.biz. In a unique way, these three entities fulfill the bank’s mission in serving the underserved and unbanked. Kent began his banking career upon graduation from Fort Lewis College in 1982 and he has spent his entire banking career, spanning over 40 years, as a rural community banker on the Western Slope of Colorado. Additionally, he is a founding organizer of the state supported Greater Colorado Venture Fund. Kent currently sits on several local boards that address rural community issues and he is focused on reversing the declining capital availability in rural America. Kent is also proud to be the Immediate Past Chairman of the Community Development Bankers Association (CDBA), and he is a current board member of the Colorado Bankers Association.
