Hotel Information: The National Housing Center is located in downtown, Washington D.C., within walking distance of a variety of hotels offering rooms at a wide range of price points. We invite you to explore some of the options in our “Hotel Options List.” Please note that CDBA has not arranged a room block at any individual hotels for this event.

Steve Giles is President & CEO of Central Bank of Kansas City (CBKC), a $390 million Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) bank focused on delivering financial services to meet the needs of the community in a socially responsible way. CBKC, the only CDFI bank headquartered in Kansas City, has held this designation since 1998 and participates in a number of CDFI Fund programs including the Capital Magnet Fund and New Markets Tax Credits, successfully investing over $500 million into its targeted community over the past 12 years. Giles brought over 25 years of community banking experience to CBKC when he joined the bank in 2019.
Previously, Giles was EVP & Chief Lending Officer of BankLiberty, a community bank that sold to a regional financial institution in 2019. Giles’ track record includes successful stints at several area community banks, including as one of the founders of Freedom Bank, which started as a de novo in 2006. Giles is an undergraduate degree from William Jewell College, has his MBA from Avila University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
